Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and quality standards, including QHSE and ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, & ISO 45001).
• Manage and coordinate the financial needs of assigned sites while adhering to established policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
• Supervise staff accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting and transactional accounting.
• Review, investigate, and resolve errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Approve and oversee financial transactions within designated limits.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries and cost center reports.
• Prepare work papers, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Provide monthly financial comparisons and cost center reports.
• Prepare statutory accounts and consolidated financial statements in compliance with deadlines.
• Maintain an accurate system of accounts and transaction records for the designated area of responsibility.
• Train new accounting staff in office procedures, payroll, and accounting processes.
• Identify training needs and coordinate necessary staff development.
• Assist in managing cash, assets, and audit-related tasks.
• Report and analyze financial information, ensuring its integrity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Financial Management.
• 5-8 years of experience in accounting, including at least 3 years as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial data and preparing reports, statements, and projections.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in accounting software and computing systems.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an added advantage.
