Job Description: Area Manager (General Insurance Sales)

Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional for the role of Area Manager to lead and drive motor insurance sales via the agency channel (POSP Model). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing business operations, recruiting, and managing a team to achieve and exceed business targets across designated regions such as Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab.

Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Building & Management:

    • Recruit and manage a team of Relationship Managers, Area Managers, and Sales Managers.
    • Motivate and train the team to achieve sales and performance targets.
  2. POSP Development:

    • Recruit Point of Sale Persons (POSPs) and drive business generation through them.
    • Provide training and support to POSPs for effective sales.
  3. Sales Leadership:

    • Monitor and follow processes to achieve consistent sales performance through the team.
    • Drive motor insurance sales, focusing on agency channel operations.
  4. Performance Monitoring:

    • Conduct performance reviews for team members to ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Deliver consistent results and meet premium generation targets.
  5. Client Relationships:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and existing clients.
    • Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  6. Product Knowledge:

    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of general insurance products and services.
    • Keep abreast of market trends and industry developments.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in general insurance, specifically motor insurance sales.
    • Proven track record in agency channel sales with experience managing a portfolio of 10-100 crore premiums per month.
  • Skills:
    • Strong team management and leadership abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical and goal-oriented mindset.
