Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

The Assistant Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing construction projects and overseeing the maintenance of equipment, industrial machinery, and systems within the factory. This role involves preparing layouts, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and managing a team of maintenance staff. The individual will also handle preventive maintenance schedules, supervise machinery operations, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for technical support and project execution.

Primary Responsibilities :

Job Description:

  1. Project Management & System Oversight

    • Handle construction projects and manage system maintenance procedures.
    • Prepare and design complete layout drawings for the industrial factory and basic machinery.
    • Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.
  2. Preventive Maintenance

    • Ensure familiarity with ISO 9001-2000 standards and prepare yearly preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and machinery.
  3. Machinery Operations

    • Operate and repair forklifts, overhead cranes, and other industrial vehicles.
    • Supervise operations of various machinery, including silicone filling machines, mixers, and other industrial equipment.
    • Interpret and work with DC/AC electrical schematic diagrams, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams, as well as medium PLC systems.
  4. Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in PC software, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (2D/3D design), Microsoft Project 2003 for project planning and scheduling.
    • Design mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and install networking systems (LAN and telephone).
  5. Industrial Maintenance

    • Repair industrial and commercial instrumentation, control panels, and HVAC systems.
    • Perform work related to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and frequency inverter drive systems.
  6. Technical Documentation

    • Prepare technical documentation as per project scope and search for reliable contractors and suppliers.
    • Participate in global evaluations of contractor capabilities for Cap-Ex projects.
  7. Safety and Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHEQ) management standards based on ISO 14000 & 19000.
  8. Team & Project Supervision

    • Supervise contracted staff and ensure technical designs and drawings are accurately followed.
    • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  9. Budget Management

    • Assist in developing and managing the department’s operating budget, including tracking expenditures and ordering materials.
  10. Emergency Response

    • Respond to emergencies as needed and coordinate staff and resources to ensure timely repairs and safety of the facility.

Reporting:

  • Reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in maintenance engineering and project management in an industrial setting.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: 6,000 - 9,000 SAR
  • Benefits:

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation in a related technical field.
  • Special courses related to maintenance engineering, project management, or safety standards preferred.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and system design (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
  • Proficiency in technical drawing (AutoCAD 2D/3D).
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and SHEQ management systems.
  • Expertise in project planning and budgeting.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of maintenance staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical solutions on-site.

Communication Skills:

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
