Branch Manager Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to oversee operations and drive Motor Insurance sales via the Agency Channel (POSP) model across states such as Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab. The ideal candidate will have strong team management skills, a proven track record in general insurance, and expertise in Motor Insurance sales.

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and manage a team of Relationship Managers, Area Managers, and Sales Managers to generate General Insurance business through the Agency Channel (POSP).
  • Build and maintain a team of Relationship Managers/Branch Managers/Area Managers to drive business growth.
  • Oversee the recruitment of POSPs and ensure they achieve business targets.
  • Monitor sales processes and track team performance to ensure consistent output.
  • Conduct performance reviews for the team and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Deliver consistent sales results by effectively managing and mentoring the team.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of company products and services.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Provide motivation and training to the team and POSPs for achieving business goals.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Industry Experience: Must have a background in General Insurance, with expertise in Motor Insurance sales.
  • Team Leadership: Proven experience managing a team and achieving business targets.
  • Channel Expertise: Hands-on experience in Agency Channel Sales (POSP).
  • Portfolio Management: Experience handling a portfolio of 10-100 crore premium per month.
