Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Relationship Building:
- Identify and target new business opportunities, including corporate clients, private events, and industry partnerships.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and industry stakeholders to ensure consistent business generation.
- Develop strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Market Research & Strategy Development:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, and emerging opportunities within the event industry.
- Formulate strategic plans to penetrate new markets, expand service offerings, and explore niche event categories.
- Assess the company's business model and recommend improvements to maintain competitiveness.
Proposal Development & Pitching:
- Work closely with the event design and management teams to create customized, compelling proposals for potential clients.
- Lead presentations and pitches to secure high-value contracts for diverse event types, such as corporate events and weddings.
Networking & Partnership Development:
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to establish new partnerships.
- Build strong relationships with venues, vendors, and suppliers to enhance the quality and variety of service offerings.
Sales Pipeline Management:
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads from initial contact to deal closure.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage client information, follow-ups, and sales reporting.
Brand Promotion & Marketing Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create and implement campaigns that drive brand awareness and generate leads.
- Provide strategic input for marketing materials, social media campaigns, and promotional initiatives.
Negotiation & Contract Management:
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and vendors to ensure profitability and service quality.
- Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and legal standards.
Reporting & Forecasting:
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market feedback, and business development strategies for leadership teams.
- Forecast future sales trends and develop actionable plans to sustain business growth.
Client Retention & Post-Event Engagement:
- Foster long-term client relationships through post-event follow-ups and feedback collection.
- Implement strategies to encourage repeat business and client referrals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the event management industry.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinking with a business acumen to identify growth opportunities.
- Knowledge of CRM tools and proficiency in market research.
- Willingness to make cold calls and participate in outbound meetings.
Additional Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of the event management industry is a must.
