Key Responsibilities

1. Study project inputs and identify discrepancies, reporting them to the Lead Engineer with detailed explanations.
2. Prepare design calculations according to project specifications, codes, and design guidelines.
3. Create connection designs and sketches for given loads.
4. Verify engineering drawings to ensure correct interpretation of design details.
5. Develop spreadsheets for repetitive calculations and validate them with manual computations.
6. Propose alternative, cost-effective technical solutions and recommend suitable construction materials.
7. Supervise construction and fabrication activities through random site/yard visits and document observations.

1. Accuracy and quality of design calculations and outputs.
2. Timely completion of design deliverables.
3. Identification and resolution of input discrepancies.
4. Effectiveness of cost-saving technical proposals.
5. Proper verification and validation of engineering drawings and calculations.
6. Detailed and insightful site visit reports.

Position Specifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (preferred).

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of design experience.
• Knowledge of fabrication and erection activities.

Special Skills Required:

• Proficiency in design software and tools.
• Spreadsheet development and manual calculation validation.
• Awareness of construction materials and technical alternatives.
