Position: Electrical Design Engineer L2

Primary Responsibilities :

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical systems, equipment selections, specifications, and related processes for commercial, industrial, and domestic (multi-family) projects.
  • Prepare detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and customer requirements using design software/tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Dialux).
  • Perform detailed calculations and prepare technical specifications, sequences of operations, and project details according to customer requirements and existing conditions.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant codes, including but not limited to the NYC Building Code, International Codes, Electrical Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, and ASHRAE Standards.
  • Review design concepts, calculations, and drawings for accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Review engineering submittals, shop drawings, and participate in construction administration procedures to ensure quick turnaround during the project's construction phase.
  • Develop training modules, calculation procedures, and tools for design and execution; train junior engineers to meet standards and improve performance.
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery according to schedule and requirements.
  • Develop cost estimations and Bill of Materials (BOM) as per design concepts.
  • Possess basic knowledge of other trades for effective MEP coordination.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in electrical design.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in building services.
  • Prior experience in team management.
  • Experience with international projects is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
