    We have urgent opening of Medical Representative/ Area Sales Manager .

    Job Description-
    * To meet doctors and generate prescription 
    * Organizing conferences for doctors and other medical staff; 
    * Building and maintaining positive working relationships with doctors, medical staff and supporting administrative staff; 
    * Develop and manage a territory with the goal of maximizing sales 
    * Achieve sales goals, usually on a annual or quarterly basis 
    * Meet call goals while focusing on top costumers (usually the best or most influential doctors in my region) 
    * Host product presentations to specific customers 
    * Regularly attending company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings; 
    * Keeping up-to-date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpreting, presenting and discussing this data with health professionals during presentations; 
    * Monitoring competitor activity and competitors' products; 
    * Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector;

Primary Responsibilities :

A MR (Medical Representative) is responsible for promoting and selling medical products or services to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals. They provide information about the product benefits, usage, and scientific data to increase sales and market penetration. Below are the typical job requirements for a Medical Representative (MR):

1. Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Nursing, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or Postgraduate qualification in relevant fields is a plus but not always required.

2. Professional Experience:

  • Experience in Sales/Marketing: 1-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Fresh graduates with a relevant educational background may also be considered.
  • Experience as a Medical Representative: Previous experience in a similar role, especially within the medical/pharmaceutical industry, is often preferred.

3. Core Skills and Competencies:

  • Sales and Negotiation Skills: Strong sales abilities, including persuasive communication and negotiation skills to engage healthcare professionals and promote products effectively.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of medical products, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and health supplements. Ability to explain complex medical and scientific information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Market Research: Ability to gather and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and hospitals.
  • Territory Management: Ability to manage assigned sales territories, maintain client records, and ensure that sales goals and targets are met.

4. Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology: Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to understand complex healthcare information and communicate it effectively to clients.
  • CRM Software: Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for managing accounts, sales records, and customer data.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver product presentations, seminars, and training sessions to healthcare professionals.
  • Reporting: Ability to prepare reports on sales activities, market conditions, and competitor activities using tools like MS Excel, Google Sheets, or CRM platforms.

5. Soft Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals, clients, and internal teams.
  • Confidence and Persuasion: Ability to confidently discuss medical products, answer questions, and persuade healthcare professionals to prescribe or recommend the product.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills to handle multiple accounts, appointments, and sales targets.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs, as well as stay updated with industry trends and product innovations.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Focus on providing value to clients and customers, understanding their needs, and addressing their concerns.
