Plumbing Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance plumbing systems, equipment selections, and related processes for commercial, industrial, and domestic (multi-family) projects.
• Prepare detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure that plumbing systems meet standards, codes, and customer requirements using design software/tools like AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Trane Trace, and Carrier HAP.
• Perform detailed calculations and prepare technical specifications, sequences of operations, and project details according to customer requirements and existing conditions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes such as NYC Building Code, International Codes, Plumbing Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, and ASHRAE Standards.
• Review design concepts, calculations, and drawings for accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with customer requirements.
• Review engineering submittals, shop drawings, and manage construction administration procedures to provide timely support during the construction phase.
• Develop training modules, calculation procedures, and company tools for design and execution, and mentor junior engineers to improve performance and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet specified requirements.
• Develop cost estimates and Bill of Materials based on design concepts.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, strong communication skills, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in plumbing design.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience in building services.
• Experience working on international projects, with a preference for US-based projects.
• Team handling experience.
• Location: Pune.
