Position: Preschool Principal

Location: Chanakyapuri
Reports To: Director

Job Summary:
The Preschool Principal is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the preschool, including curriculum development, staff management, student enrollment, and parent engagement. This role ensures that the school operates in line with educational standards, providing a nurturing and enriching environment for children. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a positive, supportive atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Administration:

    • Oversee daily operations, ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging environment for students and staff.
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and schedules aligned with regulatory standards and best practices in early childhood education.
    • Lead and manage a team of teachers and support staff, offering mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities.
    • Manage school budgets, resources, and facilities to ensure efficient operations.
  2. Curriculum and Program Development:

    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum aligned with educational goals and standards.
    • Implement programs promoting holistic development, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
    • Regularly assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and make necessary adjustments to meet students' needs.
  3. Parent and Community Engagement:

    • Build positive relationships with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
    • Organize parent meetings, open houses, and events to encourage family involvement.
    • Partner with community organizations to enhance learning opportunities and resources for the preschool.
  4. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure compliance with local and national regulations regarding early childhood education and safety standards.
    • Conduct regular assessments of school performance and implement improvements as needed.
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress, staff qualifications, and compliance documentation.
  5. Enrollment and Marketing:

    • Promote the preschool and increase enrollment through marketing strategies, events, and engagement with prospective families.
    • Conduct tours and informational sessions for prospective parents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and best educational practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and make effective decisions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in curriculum development and staff training.
  • Knowledge of child safety standards and first aid.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
