Job Description: Procurement Manager

Location: Gurugram, India
Type of Role: Permanent leadership role

Position Overview:

This organization is seeking a strategic and dynamic Procurement Manager and Purchaser to spearhead our procurement function. This pivotal role involves developing and embedding procurement processes from the ground up, enhancing our supply chain with a strong emphasis on sustainability. The ideal candidate will excel in contract negotiations, lead procurement for large capital projects, and manage the cyclical retendering for core services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Activities:

    • Perform pre-qualification, negotiate supplier agreements, and manage tender processes.
    • Receive purchase requisitions and handle procurement for all departments.
    • Prepare and control post-contract transmittals and submittals.
    • Edit and update procurement-specific documents and templates.
    • Track and monitor RFQ addendums, proposal submissions, client requests, and other relevant documents.
  2. Team Leadership and Coordination:

    • Lead and supervise purchasing and procurement agents across departments.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team performance meets organizational standards.
    • Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners.
  3. Strategic Development:

    • Identify areas for improvement to drive performance and business results.
    • Assist in sourcing opportunities on global procurement portals.
    • Ensure procurement practices align with sustainability goals.
  4. Operational Excellence:

    • Maintain a time-sensitive approach to meet all deadlines.
    • Balance strategic planning with hands-on operational tasks.

Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in procurement, preferably within the core engineering/industry sector, specifically in global procurement of products/materials.
  • Certifications: Preferably CPSM/CPP/CSCP/APP/CIPP certified (not mandatory).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and tech-savvy to operate relevant procurement tools/software.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
