Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and strategic Purchase Manager responsible for sourcing and managing the procurement of parts, castings, tooling, and materials in alignment with requirements from an international factory team. This role focuses on supplier development, contract negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials to support production goals.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Management & Development

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on project requirements.

  • Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships to meet quality and performance standards.

  • Conduct on-site audits and assessments of supplier capabilities.

  • Execute NDAs and other formal agreements as needed.

2. Procurement Process

  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately communicate requirements to suppliers.

  • Compare quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize vendor selections.

  • Manage sample procurement, evaluate quality, and oversee technical adjustments.

3. Negotiations & Contracts

  • Lead negotiations on pricing, tooling, and contract terms.

  • Finalize Incoterms and cooperation agreements prior to initiating new supplier partnerships.

  • Issue and manage purchase orders in alignment with project timelines.

4. Order & Quality Management

  • Follow up on active purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

  • Inspect and verify sample parts before dispatch and prepare inspection documentation.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.

5. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and manage shipping-related documentation, including KYC and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain comprehensive records, including purchase orders, tooling sheets, and export documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with MSME payment regulations and keep updated logs.

6. Logistics & Shipment Coordination

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders for shipments, including preparation of packing lists.

  • Negotiate shipping terms and optimize delivery timelines with logistics providers.

7. Reporting & Meetings

  • Conduct regular performance and development reviews with suppliers.

  • Generate supplier visit reports and monthly procurement summaries for management.

  • Report progress, highlight potential issues, and track ongoing procurement activities.

8. Miscellaneous

  • Support office-related procurement and miscellaneous purchasing requirements.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supplier management, preferably in manufacturing or engineering sectors.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Proficient in communication, organization, and reporting.

  • Familiarity with MSME payment compliance and international trade regulations.
