Job Purpose

This role is responsible for providing leadership in sales and marketing, including strategy formulation, pricing, key account management, and driving consistent sales growth. The Sales Head will also handle business development, financial oversight, and tactical support to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operational execution.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities

  1. Budget & Strategy: Prepare annual sales budgets and devise strategic plans to meet revenue and expense goals.
  2. Sales Target Setting: Develop quarterly, monthly, and seasonal sales targets for the team.
  3. Performance Tracking: Monitor sales goals and report results as necessary.
  4. Account Management: Manage key global and regional accounts; analyze and evaluate sales methods, costs, and outcomes.
  5. Variance Review: Review monthly sales variances and initiate corrective actions.
  6. Problem Solving: Identify and address challenges and opportunities; lead discussions to drive resolution.
  7. Policy Development: Develop and implement sales and marketing policies and strategic plans.
  8. New Product Development: Collaborate with key managers for new product planning and management.
  9. Market Introduction: Lead the sales and marketing team in launching new brands and product categories.
  10. Receivables Management: Ensure compliance with company trade policies and safeguard credit policies.
  11. Data Management: Maintain and manage the sales database on a periodic basis.
  12. Social Media Oversight: Oversee and enhance the company’s social media presence.
  13. Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of direct reports and the overall sales team.
  14. Team Target Setting: Establish individual sales targets and provide necessary support to the sales team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Degree/Diploma in Textile Designing, Textile Technology, Clothing Technology, Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Fashion Technology, or any related field.
  • Experience: 10-15 years in garment manufacturing or printing & packaging industries.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of product development, costing, pricing, and team coordination.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with brands and customers.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in Excel, MIS reporting, and sales & marketing analysis.
  • Leadership: Strong team management skills to motivate and lead the sales team towards achieving targets.
