Purpose

The Sales Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies focused on branding, customer engagement, campaigns, and marketing material. The role also entails achieving sales targets by leveraging market data and developing actionable sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Sales Strategy

  1. Target Development: Formulate monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets based on historical data and market trends.
  2. Sales Strategy: Design sales strategies based on past performance and market forecasts, driving these within the team.
  3. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to assess trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to support marketing strategies.
  4. Sales Planning: Develop sales visit plans aligned with sales strategy and target objectives.
  5. Expense Authorization: Review and approve sales team travel expenses in compliance with company travel policy.

Client Relationship & Market Expansion

  1. Client Portfolio Management: Build and maintain client relationships to enhance customer loyalty and portfolio growth.
  2. Market Expansion: Create plans to increase market penetration and presence.
  3. Marketing Plan Execution: Implement the marketing roadmap, ensuring activities and deadlines are met.
  4. Literature & Marketing Activities: Ensure effective use of marketing literature and track the progress of all marketing activities.
  5. Order Management: Monitor order status and collaborate with internal teams to prioritize orders for effective fulfillment.
  6. Customer Satisfaction: Resolve customer complaints and queries promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  7. Customer Engagement: Increase customer activity and involvement with the company.
  8. Sample Order Management: Track sample orders and coordinate with relevant teams for timely fulfillment.
  9. Collections & Reconciliation: Ensure timely collection of payments from customers and periodic reconciliation of customer accounts.

Team Development & Reporting

  1. Competency Development: Review the competence of subordinates and conduct periodic assessments to ensure the team is capable of achieving departmental goals.
  2. Departmental Updates: Submit regular progress reports to management and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  3. ISO Compliance: Ensure control over departmental documents and records in compliance with ISO standards.
  4. Budget Management: Ensure that all departmental activities align with the sales department budget.

Pricing & Sales Policy

  1. Pricing Adjustments: Periodically review and adjust product pricing based on market trends and internal policy modifications in consultation with management.
