Job Title: Senior Executive - Research & Development

Job Purpose

The Senior Executive - R&D is responsible for developing new product designs and Bill of Materials (BOM) as per client requirements and company standards. The role involves supporting the production team with technical information and overseeing the optimization of resources for lot production.

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities

  1. Research & Development:

    • Conduct research on new advancements and innovations in product specifications, costs, production methods, and raw material optimization.
    • Develop new product applications and ensure timely development.
  2. Customer Requirement Review:

    • Analyze customer technical requirements and provide inputs during the pre-order stage of order processing.
  3. Product Improvement & Upgradation:

    • Periodically review existing products and recommend upgrades based on performance evaluations.
    • Supervise the production of developed designs to ensure quality.
  4. Lot Production Oversight:

    • Review and address non-conformance in initial production batches, consulting with management for decision-making.
    • Ensure timely arrangement of samples for trials and supervise material movement to optimize production efficiency.
  5. Shade Matching & Testing:

    • Conduct and supervise shade matching processes and oversee testing and approval of developed products.
  6. EHS & Safety Compliance:

    • Adhere to safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations, including following HIRA register activities.
    • Report unsafe conditions and ensure the implementation of safety measures.
  7. Reporting & Documentation:

    • Prepare and submit daily work reports and MIS reports to management.
    • Provide periodic departmental progress updates to the management.

Skills & Competencies

  1. Communication Skills: Proficient in both oral and written communication.
  2. MS Office Proficiency: Skilled in using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
  3. Change Management: Ability to adapt to changing business environments and integrate new innovations.
  4. Subject Matter Expertise: Strong knowledge in chemistry and relevant product development fields.
  5. Strategic Thinking: Able to forecast trends, anticipate challenges, and make informed decisions.
  6. Decision-Making: Capable of making timely, well-informed decisions in consultation with the management.
  7. Emotional Intelligence: Maintain composure under pressure and manage interpersonal relationships effectively.

Qualifications

  • Education: MSc in SCT (Science in Chemistry & Technology) or BSc in Chemistry.
  • Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience in R&D roles.
