Studio ORAM is primarily involved in crafting luxury residential spaces where attention to detail is paramount. We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our studio in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate should be able to conceptualize design and draft detailed plans for spaces. In this role, you will lead and manage interior design projects from concept to completion by working closely with the principal designer and clients. As a senior interior designer, you will mentor junior designers and lead by example.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication and Requirement Gathering:
- Initiate and maintain clear, effective communication with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Conduct initial meetings and consultations to gather detailed briefs and establish project scope.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design process, ensuring their expectations are managed and met.
Concept Development:
- Develop initial design concepts based on client briefs, site visits, and analysis of functional and aesthetic requirements.
- Present concept proposals through sketches, mood boards, 3D renderings, and other visual tools to effectively communicate design intent and spatial planning ideas.
- Incorporate feedback from clients into concept revisions while maintaining design integrity and feasibility.
Detailed Design Development:
- Translate approved concepts into detailed design plans, including space planning, material selections, furniture layouts, and lighting design.
- Specify and source materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) that align with the design concept, budget, and timeline.
- Collaborate with the lead designer, engineers, contractors, and other specialists to ensure design intent is realized during the construction and installation phases.
Project Management:
- Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines in coordination with project stakeholders.
- Oversee the execution of design plans to ensure adherence to quality standards, building codes, and client expectations.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and approve installations.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead a team of junior designers, drafters, and support staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance as needed.
- Foster a collaborative work environment by encouraging creativity, open communication, and professional development among team members.
- Coordinate with external consultants and vendors to integrate specialized expertise and products into the design process.
Client Presentation and Relationship Management:
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing design concepts, material samples, and visualizations.
- Cultivate strong client relationships through attentive service, responsiveness to feedback, and proactive problem-solving.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality design solutions that exceed expectations while staying within project parameters.
