Service Engineer (CNC Machines)

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Commissioning:

  • Install and commission CNC machines at customer sites, ensuring accurate setup, calibration, and system integration.
  • Conduct machine testing to confirm optimal performance according to manufacturer specifications.

• Troubleshooting & Repairs:

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues in CNC machines.
  • Repair or replace faulty components to restore machine functionality quickly and efficiently.

• Preventive Maintenance:

  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to reduce downtime and prolong machine life.
  • Regularly inspect and service machines to identify and address potential issues before they cause disruptions.

• Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing questions and resolving performance-related concerns.
  • Assist clients with machine programming, software updates, and control system modifications.

• Training & Documentation:

  • Train customer staff on the proper operation, maintenance, and safety protocols of CNC machines.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, documenting all work completed, parts replaced, and future service recommendations.

• Customer Interaction:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, professional service.
  • Work closely with the sales team to share feedback on customer needs and identify opportunities for machine upgrades or additional services.

Requirements:

• Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Service Engineer or Technician in the CNC machinery or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machine systems, mechanical components, and control systems.

• Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and machine drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
  • Hands-on experience with machine tools, electrical systems, PLCs, and automation components.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and test equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
