Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Educational Qualifications:

    • Diploma or degree in culinary arts, pastry arts, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a pastry chef in a hotel, restaurant, or bakery.
    • Experience in high-volume production environments is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in pastry techniques including cake decorating, baking, and sugar work.
    • Knowledge of various types of desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
  • Creativity:

    • Ability to create innovative dessert menus and develop new recipes.
    • Strong artistic sense to present desserts aesthetically.
  • Attention to Detail:

    • Meticulous in measuring ingredients and following recipes accurately.
    • Ensures the quality and consistency of all pastry items.
  • Time Management:

    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Strong verbal communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and management.
    • Ability to train and mentor junior pastry cooks and kitchen staff.
  • Food Safety Knowledge:

    • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
    • Knowledge of proper storage and handling of ingredients.
  • Flexibility:

    • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Ability to adapt to changing menus and customer preferences.
