Oocyte collection, denuding and dentification stage of oocyte maturation

• Use assisted reproductive technologies (ART) to help with infertility

• Semen analysis and sperm preparation for IUI, IVF, ICSI, PGS, PGD

• IVF techniques, (classical and ICSI) and fertilization assessment

• Embryo culture, Embryo scoring and Embryo transfer

• Polar Body, Blastomere and Trophectoderm Biopsy

• Assisted Laser Hatching

• Maintain the viability of gametes, tissues and embryos during processing

• Select embryos for transfer to recipient women, research or other intended use and implant embryos into patients' reproductive organs • Monitor embryo development

• Comply with quality control, ethical issues and regulations surrounding gamete and embryo handling

• Maintain and care for equipment • Monitor and maintain cryobanks, and preserve gametes and embryos for future use

• Surgical sperm retrieval (TESE sperm preparation), preparing retrograde ejaculation sample

• Gametes and Embryo cryopreservation (vitrification, slow freezing and thawing)

• Determination of sperm DNA Fragmentation (Sperm Chromatin Dispersion Test)

• Quality Management & Experience in clean room • Maintaining laboratory records and use of computers

• Maintaining laboratory consumables inventory

• Meeting with patients as required

• Working in accordance with the code of practice set out by laboratory department

• Lab maintenance • Equipment maintenance (including cryo can)

• Record maintenance, patient liaison, statistics work and restocking

• Guidelines and ethical aspects • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Educational Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Reproductive Biology, Embryology, or a related field.
    • Certification or additional training in embryology or assisted reproductive technology (ART) is preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in an IVF laboratory.
    • Proven track record in performing embryo culture, sperm preparation, and oocyte retrieval.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in various laboratory techniques, including ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), cryopreservation, and embryo grading.
    • Experience with advanced reproductive technologies and laboratory equipment.
  • Knowledge:

    • In-depth understanding of human embryology, reproductive physiology, and fertility preservation techniques.
    • Familiarity with laboratory protocols and quality control standards in the IVF setting.
  • Attention to Detail:

    • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in laboratory procedures and reporting.
  • Analytical Skills:

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting laboratory issues.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and the medical team.
  • Teamwork:

    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
